What's more important?

Ok, re-phrase that as someone who spoke out in favour of legalising child porn

Child porn and animal torture are both evil and currently illegal

Any politician who suggesting legalising child porn would be committing political suicide. The massive weight of public opinion that would rain down on them would be overwhelming. Sorry Andy but in the majority of the country there simply isn't the same level of feeling about fox hunting. This is a Facebook campaign so presumably you feel this is a legitimate public forum to air these sorts of issues. There is a group on Facebook asking for 1 million people to sign up that they are against a return to Fox hunting. It currently has about 17000 members. There are joke groups on there with hundreds of thousands of members. The group asking for Justice for the Hillsborough 96 (which to me is a serious issue) has nearly twice as many members.
Let me put it this way. if I am reading the map correctly the two nearest 'battleground' seats to Chesterfield are Amber Valley and Sheffield Hallam. I suggest you go and stand in either Ripley or Dore and ask 1000 voters to list the top 5 issues that they want to see the election fought on.
From the lists you get compile the top 10 issues. I will be surprised if fox hunting makes the top 10. If it does I will be gobsmacked if it was higher than 8th.
You can stand on your soapbox all you like but in comparison to the economy, unemployment, the NHS, Education, Public services, the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, immigration, Europe and The Environment it just isn't on the political agenda.

Actually thinking about it Sheffield Hallam probably isn't a good example. You will probably find a lot of people there who think it is an issue. Allowing it that is!! :P

My views are my own not those of the Labour Party.

I do not wish to be an MP.

This is not the Amber Valley Forum or Sheffield Hallam Forum.

If Kate Hoey was to make an official visit to the Chesterfield Labour Party (as was once suggested) I would withdraw my election help

Pity you are brilliant at avoiding answering the question!

Let me get this right. People don't support - what could be - a good MP with good policies because of football!! :o
It's no wonder the Country's in a mess!

It's not really about the football, it's more about the business in this instance.

Or attempting to get other people not to support them because of views that the majority don't give a jot about.
The RMT want her, the people of Vauxhall are obviously happy with her as she gets a majority of those voting supporting her.

Which makes a change from you posting the thoughts of Chairman Perkins unabridged.

I never said it was I said they were the closest 2 battleground seats. its not the Crawley, Harlow, Blackpool North Manchester Withington, Birmingham Yardley or Liverpool Wavertree forum either but those are also marginal seats where chances are fox hunting is not on the radar

Which would suggest if such an invite were mooted that you are out of step with the Chesterfield Labour Party
