I've been offered my dream job in Glasgow so it looks like we're moving. It's all happened pretty quickly and it seems strange to think that it wasn't that long ago that I was watching the Scottish independent debates with no idea that it would be so relevant. I'm a bit confused by the Scottish house buying system though, the fixed offers/offers above thing and home reports. I've been sent some info by my new employers and this was in it http://www.hdg.co.uk/regions/Kilmarnock but I thought you only had to do the home report on the house you're selling up there, as opposed to having to have a survey etc done on the house you're buying down here. Can anyone explain it all to me in short, simple sentences?
